Senior Software Engineer

About the Company and Role:

Apton Biosystems, Inc., is a Pleasanton, California-based developer of Super-Res™ sequencing systems for large-scale clinical applications such as early cancer detection and population sequencing. Apton has re-imagined the optical systems for sequencing using super-resolution to evaluate molecules spaced closer than a wavelength of light. Apton’s Super-Res™ technology enables densely sequencing tens of billions of reads in a single run using simple un-patterned flow cells that lower variable costs.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be part of an innovative, dynamic, and adaptive organization supporting new product that streamline the analysis system.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • 5+ years’ experience of Visual Studio C#/.NET Core framework.
  • Strong object-oriented design skills.
  • Experience with distributed storage and database systems (for example minio, PostgreSQL).
  • Proficient in building highly scalable services based on GRPC or REST.
  • Developed a robust and high-performance application using a full software development life cycle including designing, implementing, and testing.
  • Active involved in technical discussion/presentation and provide input to other members from hardware, instrument control and system engineering teams.
  • Experience writing high quality unit tests.
  • Experience working in a Linux development environment.
